Maundy Thursday—17 April

“Embracing Community”

7.00 pm Last Supper Eucharist and Washing of Feet or Hands

The liturgical washing of feet or hands is an inclusive gesture, remind us that Jesus washed feet as a sign that we are to be gracious and sensitive to the needs of others.

The solemn “Stripping of the Sanctuary and Altars” followed by our silent departure concludes the liturgy.

We are reminded that Jesus went from the last supper into the garden, with a heavy heart, where he experienced a time of loneliness and desolation.

Good Friday—18 April

“Standing in Solidarity at the Cross”

9.30 am Stations of the Cross

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, you are invited to walk to St Aidan’s as an expression of Christian witness, being joined on the way by members of other Remuera churches.

Saturday Easter Vigil—19 April

8.00 pm at Holy Trinity Cathedral

Lighting of the new fire, Renewal of Baptismal vows and Festal Choral Eucharist. St Mark’s clergy will be participating.

Easter Day - 20 April

“New Life in Christ”

8.00 am Eucharist (ANZPB)

9.30 am Festal Choral Eucharist with Lighting of the Easter Candle 

and renewal of Baptismal vows

We celebrate our Life in Christ through Word, Sacrament and Music.

5.00 pm Evening Prayer said with hymns.
