Getting Married at St Mark's
St Mark’s is a very popular venue for weddings. The church itself has a wonderful atmosphere and charm, and it is set within beautiful grounds with sweeping lawns and well-established trees.
The Parish welcomes anyone to be married who is seeking a Christian marriage ceremony in the Anglican tradition. Weddings are conducted by one of the Parish Clergy or by another Anglican minister.
There are a number of marriage liturgies in the Anglican Church which enable couples reasonable choice with respect to the form of their vows and other words in the service. Guidance is also offered in relation to readings and music. The Parish has a fine pipe organ which offers a suitable accompaniment to the venue and ceremony.
The Music Department at St. Mark's has several options for music at your ceremony, too. The Parish has three choirs as part of the Church (see Music for further details) who are available to sing. The Chamber Voices is available to sing a selection of fine music, and professional soloists are at hand to be part of your special day. Please contact the Organist & Director of Music for more information about these options.
There is a facility fee for the marriage ceremony. In addition, the Organist & Director of Music charges a professional fee. You can download a .pdf version of our wedding information brochure here.
